Surely, they wouldn't consider hiring Demir. He has a foul mouth and is not the sort of coach who will attract good players to a club.

Besides, may mail is he is interviewing as coach for a Div 2 club.

Must be called late mail for a reason. Demir has already signed for another year with St George.

I think you have the complete wrong bloke if you label Shane as having a foul mouth. Shane is only a mAiden compared to some other coaches who truly are group one performers.
Shane had a tough gig last year.but put his faith in the young guys and they will be far better for it next year

I'll have to agree with Shearer. It was a tough introduction for Demir into senior coaching. He wasn't expecting the job and got thrown in the deep end after the season had already started.
There's some good talent working its way through the ranks, and Shane will have learned from his experience this year. And with a full pre-season as coach, he'll have had more opportunity to put his mark on the team than was possible this year. St George could be a team to watch next year.

Must have missed my earlier post and have feeling your late mail is very late as you sound like your referring to a former St George coach currently else where.

Long gone, and for the better at Manly. Besides a fair bit of exposure at the start in the media, probably fair to say he did more harm than good.

My bad - I was thinking of another former St George coach.

It is interesting to note how many current Sydney AFL coaches have coached St George at some stage.

... the good news is that Shane doesn't need to teach any of the 2008 crew how to cuss, abuse umpires and drive young families from the hill at Olds!

It's certainly been a busy time for coaching moves in Premier Division.
