    Kirk? Captaincy?

What's the reckoning on Kirk? Is this his last year?

He's doing quite well in the pre-season, so presumably there's at least another season after this one if he wants it. But he may want to bow out with Roos at the end of '10.

After he retires who's our prime on-field leader - Bolton or Goodes?

And after they go who are the candidates for captain? McVeigh?

The best role for Kirk right now is not as captain.
It is as support for the player who will lead the team for the next few years.
Provide support, offer advice, and help the next captain settle in and become a proficient leader.

Oi. You lot! Have you forgotten our Club Champion? O'Keefe is already stepping it up as a visual/verbal face of the club. He is the natural to take the next step. He already directs traffic on field, so making him the next co-Captain is logical. And he will be good too.

I thought that too after reading the press release after the sanddunes training....captain in line written all over it.
