You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Bradshaw is listed as 4 weeks still?

The Lewis Johnston mystery is explained.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Bradshaw we all know about, but it's not a good sign that Johnston now has a knee injury, on top of last year's problems. Consecutive injuries are never a good sign, particularly in a young player.

Bradshaw we all know about, but did we all know it was 4 weeks from now? The last I heard he was still in the mix for round 1.

I made the same query a couple of weeks ago when he was "six weeks" but I guess we have to go by what's been reported, which is that his recovery is on track and he will play barring last-minute hiccups.

I am concerned about Lewis Johnston - still/another six weeks - not good.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Bird in a crystal ball)

    I like Pyke.

Craig Bird was on crutches at the Fan Day. Had a chat with him and got the impression that it wasn't all that serious and he'd be back sooner rather than later. I was thinking around six weeks from the way he was talking. He seemed upbeat about it.
Ten weeks according to the injury list !!!

I am worried about these players...

    Brett Meredith Quad 4-6 weeks
    Lewis Johnston Knee 6 weeks
    Kristin Thornton Knee 10 weeks
    Craig Bird Foot 10 weeks

All four are injury prone. You could also add Vez to the listed. Then there is Playfair...
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Not sure that you'd say Bird is particularly injury prone. He's just about to enter his 3rd seaosn and he's already played close to two seasons of senior footy. He had a couple of niggles at the end of each year but he's had a decent run compared to most of our more recent draftees.

Meredith I do feel for, given he's already lost the best part of two seasons to contact type injuries. This quad injury he's had must be a pretty bad one given how long he seems to have been in rehab.

He started well in his career with a good run but then did his shoulder late in the last season and lost the start of this season to a hot spot in his foot. Hopefully just a couple of blips.

Bird and Thornton have been place on the long term injury list, with no replacements nominated yet.
