So winning the one on one contests don't count?

If we can do those three things consistently well next Saturday night we will win.

Spot on, our back pockets & flanks are very attacking great runners, but poor at shutting down in form opposition forwards

But, if you look at the NAB final team selected by St Kilda, we need appropriate players to match up with Schneider and Milne.

I went to the NAB Cup final with some Saints fans and they are very excited about Armitage and Peake.Peake is extremely fast and I think he was playing half forward so maybe Shaw would get him.Armitage is a good midfielder who will replace ball.We need to be aware of him as well.
Hopefully Hayes won't get up for round 1.

Armitage looks a good type, but Peake is very ordinary, IMHO of course. I'm tipping those same Saints fans will be calling for his head when the turnovers start.

Possibly, but many posters on here had written Shaw off as a likely valuable contributor this time last year.

Not me, but regardless, I've just expressed an opinion on Peake.

I'm just hope karma doesn't bite me on the ass in Rd 1.

Suffuce to say if you can get your hands on the football first at stoppages you don't need to win the one on one contests.

Don't see how that follows. Even if a team wins every first possession at stoppages, they are still going to have to kick to contests at times.

But Peake was genuinely delistment material, and has had a pretty poor Nab Cup anyway. He's no guarantee for Round 1, and even if he is, the matchup on him isn't something I'd be too worried about.

Having said that, he'll probably go out and put in a match-winning performance...
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
