    Teams v St Kilda

    26 man squad named!

    http://www.sydneyswans.com.au/news/n...2/default.aspx

Although it says in no particular order, a sharp eyed poster on another site has pointed out if you list the names in order that they have there, then you'd get a very plausible looking side. It would look like:

    B: Malceski Roberts-Thomson C.Bolton
    HB: Kennelly Grundy McGlynn
    C: Jack McVeigh Shaw
    HF: Mattner Goodes O'Keefe
    F: White Bradshaw Moore
    R: Seaby Kirk J.Bolton
    I: Mumford Jetta Kennedy Richards
    Emg Smith Bevan Hannebery
Break in case of emergency emergency Rohan

Thanks Ugg. Apart from a swap of McGlynn and Mattner, I'll buy it.

    McGlynn to play on Milne?
    Mattner to forward tag Goddard?

Jetta one of six Swans newcomers for round one clash
Very tough on Bevan, I hope Moore plays well.

That could be a very formidable team - speed and power all over the park. Now if the forwards are reasonably cohesive, the mids are on their toes and the backs are their normally stingy selves, game on!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

IMHO, Bevan can contribute more than Moore. Tough!

Good looking side. Nothing hugely unexpected about it, apart from maybe Moore cracking the 18. Huge competition for small forward spots, so he'll have to perform right away. We've got heaps of wingers; I prefer ROK as a HFF who can push up (and back) as the mood strikes.

Hannebery doesn't make the 25? What's been the go with him pre-season? A fully-fit MOD not making the enlarged squad either, doesn't bode so well for his future barring injuries to kids. Bevan's been put on notice, too: in this game, you don't continuously improve, you go backwards. Don't melt down, though, Bevan-lovers (both of you): I'm sure he'll be back before the season's too old.
