    Reserves v AIS/AFL Academy

    3rd April 2010
    Blacktown Olympic Park

I'm not sure of the exact starting time of this game. Apparently they will play after the GWS v Northern Knights TAC Cup match whose starting time has been variously described from 10.15 am to 11am.

    Possible team list
    8. Trent Dennis-Lane (knee - test)
    10. Daniel Currie
    11. Ed Barlow
    13. Patty Veszpremi
    16. Gary Rohan (slight hip injury)
    20. Sam Reid
    22. Byron Sumner (absent last week but no on the injured list)
    25. Ted Richards (Senior Emergency)
    26. Henry Playfair
    28. Dylan McNeil
    35. Campbell Heath
    36. Chris McKaigue
    38. Mike Pyke
    40. Nick Smith (Senior Emergency)
    42. Paul Bevan (Senior Emergency)
    43. Matthew O'Dwyer
    44. Jake Orreal (Back soreness - under assessment)
    45. Nathan Gordon (Landed awkwardly in a marking contest last week and went off the ground - not on injured list)
    46. Taylor Gilchrist

With slight question marks over Tadhg and the Eski's status, there might be more than the one travelling emergency on the plane to Adelaide.

No idea on the AIS/AFL lineup, but they do have Tom Mitchell listed on their website.

    Anyone heading out there?

Given Bevo played, it looks like Richards and/or Smith are the travelling emergencies for the seniors.

I notice Tm Mitchell was amongst the best for the AIS

I presume he is likely to come to s under the Father son & is not another Marc Murphy?
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

The club has been very proactive so far with getting him up to Sydney to train for a couple of weeks over the summer.

Comments Mitchell Snr also seem to indicate that Tom wants to play for the Sydney Football Club, so as long he doesn't lose the ability to play over the next 18 months he will be ours under F&S.

It will be like getting a top 5'er for a second round pick, as our first pick will probably be a second rounder in todays terms.

The way Nipper was helped from the field last week I'm not surprised he hasn't been mentioned. I would be surprised if he played.

He's beefed up considerably from last year (according to a source. As we all know missed the whole year with injury). He's just under KP height, will make a flanker but at reserves level will be called upon to play upon the key forwards which will be a good learning experience for him. He is a lovely kick of the ball.
