    I doubt it.

Most self respecting females would have been happy with Bradshaw heading to Sydney just to ogle the guns for 11 home games a year.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

We have had a bad run of injuries so far this season but we can't feel too unlucky to lose these two players to injury. We knew they were injury prone when we got them.

How exactly does the development of the team - supposedly towards our next premiership - benefit from having a key forward with a degenerative knee problem?

I would have thought we'd be better off identifying our next Tony Lockett or Barry Hall, as they were key forwards we actually did develop successful sides around.

draws the best defender away from others, gives the midfield a strong target, helps us to win more games rather than lose them.
Theres not much left to say

Let's hope Kennelly won't be allowed to play until he is 100% again. I thought I saw him limping before the incident when his leg went - still trying to find it on the tape.
During the Manuka game Kennelly came off a couple times to have his knee looked at.

Well, that's not going to be happening for a while now, is it? All good in theory, but always unlikely with a guy on the wrong side of 30 with a dodgy knee.

Now we're basically back to where we started from. Who's going to be our main forward from now on? Can White be developed into that role? Do we need to recruit someone else?

As far as Kennelly goes, I thought he would probably breakdown before the halfway point this year. I was crucified for suggesting it. Unfortunately I was right. But at least we've got plenty of replacements for him.

Sheesh, talk abot an over reaction! I would hardly call a 4 week medial ligament injury 'breaking down'. AFL is a contact sport where the body and its parts move in more directions at the speed of light than any other sport. Injuries oocur whether you are 22 or 32. Kennelly is more of an asset than not.

That's highly contestable. His contribution was diminishing even before he took off to Ireland last year. And it's easier to recover from most injuries the younger you are.

The other thing to remember, we are only talking about a 28 year old!! He has many more years in front of him. Your arguement would hold more sway if we were talking about a 32 or 33 Tadgh Kennelly, but we are not.

Got Braddy for nothing and he's kicked 25 goals in 7.5 games. It was a no brainer to get him and it still is. He's out for about two weeks, which happens to a lot of players across a season. McGlynn has a history of injury, should we have not recruited him either?

If Bradshaw doesn't play another game for the club, we've lost nothing in terms of developing the team. He obviously will play again and we get the opportunity to watch a very good footballer play in Swans colours for a couple of years.

How? He's out for two weeks. I'm a Jesse fan but he's certainly not capable of doing what Braddy can do just yet. Johnston's not ready to have a team built around him. What was the alternative? Tell me how getting Bradshaw was a bad thing. I didn't understand it during the pre-season when you were going on about it and I still don't.

    If he lasts that long.

Don't get me wrong, his best is very good. It's a pity we didn't have him earlier.

My point is that we need a reliable, long term forward to serve the role played by Lockett and then Hall. I don't think we have him yet. It might be Jesse White, perhaps Lewis Johnston. Perhaps we'll have to recruit someone.
