Was really a game of qtrs.
1. We played better, but scored less. Port scored from the few opportunities, mainly poor turnovers.
2. accelerator hit.
3. they shut us down.
4. Almost as good as the 2nd.

I've only just noticed this report. I need to keep my eyes open!

Great assessment of the game. Was definitely one of holding Port in the first and third quarters, and kicking away in the second and fourth. For anyone who was at the game, was there any wind advantage towards either end that would explain the discrepancy in total goals kicked at either end of the ground?

Liz, I was at the game, there wasn't much of a breeze at the ground but the scoring end was the Northern end of the ground (Left side of a tv screen). I think there was only 4 or 5 goals kicked to the Southern end.

The breeze at AAMI normally blows across the ground and doesn't generally favor either end
