As (I think) Legs Akimbo said, Jim Stynes was a happy man.
Jack wasn't bad.
Malceski worked hard and did some good things.
Jetta also worked hard and will improve as he adjusts to the pace. Mind you, I wondered at his reputed speed when he was nearly run down by Frawley!
Moore's slowness doesn't bother me as he seems to know where to be. I just wish his kick was a tad more reliable.

Over the course of season most sides have one of those days and it was our turn today.
No need to linger, there is another game next week and with North and Adelaide losing it looks like we will play finals this year which will be a nice way to say good bye to both Kirk and Roos who have done so much for this club, while allowing blokes like Smith, Hannaberry, White, Merideth, Jetta etc to get a chance to play in a final.

Obviously problems in the backline, midfield, forward line and coaching box but I think you could say that the players sitting on the interchange bench generally seemed to be okay.

Bevo seems to have resurrected his career over the last 3 weeks.
Jetta played with far greater intensity than at the start of the year, even if things didn't quite come off.
While Pyke lapsed a couple of times in defence, he is finally starting to back his kicking, and some of his kicks were beautiful. In fact, for the first time in his career (I'm fairly sure), he had more kicks than handballs, and I only recall one kick that wasn't bang on (and even that was only a bit low and very well read by a Melbourne player).
Not everybody was totally horrible, and Goodes was good.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
That is close to a perfect summary.
The fact that our three best midfielders today are 19, 21 and 23 years old was a positive (I'm allocating Goodsey to the "utility" description today because he spent a fair bit of time up forward).
Also, Goodes' refound freedom in the middle has envigorated him as a forward, as well as a midfielder.
