I like watching old games to see how much the rules and interpretations have changed. Hands in the back, HTB, chopping arms, hits to the head. Always reckon Plugger would have kicked twice as many goals if he played now!

I'm the reverse, if there is a movie on Tv that I have on DVD I wiould rather watch it on DVD, to avoid the ads.
On the 05 SF, I have the DVD set but have never watched the first 3 qrtrs again. I only watch the last. In fact I might watch it later today after seeing this thread.

I watch the last quarter of that game quite often off my DVD but like you I've never watched the first three quarters until last night. It was fascinating. The Cats did a great job of tackling throughout and nearly stole a win. In fact, watching the final quarter in context was a much richer experience than all my previous viewings of the last quarter alone.
Thank you Foxsports 1 - it was a whole new experience, five years on.
It's funny to watch the young Cats back then. Who would've thought they'd go on to be one of the greatest sides of all time? There are obviously a few changes (Selwood, Taylor & Ottens the most notable) but most of their guns played that night. Just shows that success takes time.
Will always love Davo for that, probably the most significant individual quarter of footy in the club's history.

Interesting the commentators made mention early on about us butchering our Kick-ins. Seems nothing much has changed over the last 5 years.
