What does that mean exactly? I'm a little confused. He says he's done a similar thing for Lyon in recent years too?

Well I know I certainly base all my decisions in life on "What would Roosey do?"

    Geez, that didn't take long.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

    So does Ross Lyon.

Maybe mentoring "at arms length" means a shoulder to cry on, or a direction indication when dealing with a tricky personnel situation, management, sleep deprivation, who is a good masseuse, ... not necessarily moves etc. I am sure the same courtesy is being extended to Horse and probably Frosty, Fruity, etc.

It would be shame to have all that knowledge disappear into the ethers.....

It's pretty much just Roos saying he will be happy to pick up the phone and talk footy with him... which he does with everyone anyway.

Yeah, seems to be a mentor in the corporate sense. Someone to pick up the phone and talk to. It is a bit of a nothing piece.

EDIT: SEN Reporting Chris Scott to get the Cats job. MASSIVE shock considering they had Sanderson and Hinkley available.

I think he'll just sell him a signed copy of Sport is Life, Life is Sport

Good choice to go with an outsider I think. With such an upheaval lately, it could be beneficial to bring in outside ideas and fresh blood (blood which I'm sure will be bayed for if Geelong don't make the top 4 next year...)
