    Round 9 v Fremantle, SCG.

    Sydney 3.2 5.4 8.5 9.963
    Fremantle3.6 9.12 11.14 14.16 100

BEST: Malceski, Jack, Kirk, Rohan, Mattner, Playfair

After a tight contest, Fremantle blew the game open with 6 goals to 2 in the 2nd term, which became an unassailable lead. Still no Mumford, and with Kennelly limping off in the first term the swans were struggling, and then when Bradshaw hobbled off in the 3rd, the swans were really challenged.

Had the Dockers kicked straight, the result could've been ugly.
    Dockers by 37

    Playfair finished with 2.

    Round 10 v Hawthorn, MCG.

    Sydney 2.3 4.7 6.9 11.1177
    Hawthorn3.6 4.12 7.13 10.19 79

BEST: Hannebery, Malceski, Mumford, Shaw, Jack

This game would be the game where Hannebery's cream rose to the top. Finishing with 3 goals, including a memorable 70m shot, the highlight reel would be full of young Dan. Mumford, finally back, was straight into the thick of things with 42 hitouts, stamping himself as a premier ruckman. Kennedy had a great day against his old side.
Hawks led all day, but for some wayward kicking it would have been a comfortable win.
The swans had a final fling to steal the game, but Shaw's shot under pressure missed.

Hannebery and White finished with 3, and Playfair 2.
    Hawks by 2.

I find it interesting the number of times the "Best" List (I assume coming from the Match Report, not Scott's personal opinion ) is mimicked by the TLM votes. It's not 100%, but some weeks it's pretty close.

The best list was from the Match reports, until they ran out, then I started to use afl.com.au. (Not very reliable that one, just a guide)

The swans were out to arrest the recent losing streak. Jude Bolton wrote himself into the record books with a World Record 26 contested possessions. Mumford was outstanding in the ruck.
Little was between the two teams for most of the game. Just when the bombers had a whiff of victory, Goodes stepped up to seal the game.

Had the Swans kicked straight, the result could've been ugly, for the bombers.

SHould we really be talking about Hannebery's cream rising Scott?

Anyway, carry on. Looks like a close finish.

    Round 13 v Collingwood, ANZ.

    Sydney 2.3 4.4 6.7 10.1171
    Collingwood3.6 7.11 10.17 13.18 96

BEST: McGlynn, Kirk, Kennedy, Mumford, Malceski, O'Keefe

Bradshaw was a late withdrawal, his fill in, Goodes, had littel impact from the little service he received. Kirk, Kennedy and Malceski worked tirelessly, but struggled against the hard running pies. Harry O'Brien was impressive with his bursting runs out of defence.

Had the Pies kicked straight, the result could've been uglier.
    Pies by 25.

    O'Keefe kicked 3.

Goodes again was well held, still no Bradshaw, but the team was in control for most of the match. The tigers accuracy kept them in the match. The swans managed 4 goals in a row, to create a comfortable lead halfway through the 3rd term, only to have it cut to 14 points at the final break.
the Tigers seemed to find confidence that they had lacked through the first half and powered home, snatching a 4 point victory,
