I agree. It was gobsmacking! That speech certainly inspired me to pick up a football and go into battle

Annie I bet you were a Bay City Rollers girl.

You have to excuse Josh for not knowing who Spandau Ballet was. Imagine a trip to Nan and Pops.

Josh: Poppy should I watch Humphrey B Bear or Romper Room?

    Poppy: Don't think, Do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Josh: How about Sesame Street?

Poppy: Son, you'll get more out of watching the 1989 Grand Final replay.

free man you are! What will you do without freedom? Will you fight?" "Two thousand against ten?" - another veteran shouted. "No! We will run - and live!"
"Yes!" McVeigh shouted back. "Fight and you may die. Run and you will live at least awhile. And dying in your bed many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here as young men and tell our enemies that they may take our lives but they will never take our premiership!"
Ummmm... That's not the speech... Not sure if Bas is taking th episs or not....

You would need a brave heart to post something like this.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Go and listen to Macca's speach. It's as good as Stueys was back in 2003. Basically, he is right. And I like a Captain who puts in work even with a speach. Its not a raraa gungho crapy speach, its a proper grown up, no holds barred, carefully considered, leadership speach. I shall listen to it again.

    I told you!!
I'll even go as far to say that it was more inspirational than the one Kirky gave a few years ago.
No holds barred allright ... be a blood 24/7 (and all that it entails) or we'll replace you!!
    Brilliant.

The different coaches introduced their different charges ....

Henry Playfair has got to be one of the funniest blokes going around. If he can't inspire the ressies ... no one can!!

I hope his bit is online somewhere.

Starters was a prawn skewer, sitting on a bed of skip tabouli with a tomatoey type sauce.
Main was a hunk of beef with baby carrots, wedge potatotes, warm cherry tomatoes and a pea mash.
Dessert was creme brulle with a fancy toffee garnish.

The whines were exceptional (note, I don't drink whine much, but they were very drinkable) and they served Pure Blonde beer.
