Round 1 Team: vs Dees Everitt and Sumner to debut

I couldn't see Ugg's team thread so thought I would post it up.

    B: P.Bevan, T.Richards, M.Mattner
    HB: R.Shaw, H.Grundy, A.Everitt
    C: D.Hannebery, K.Jack, N.Smith
    HF: L.Jetta, A.Goodes, B.McGlynn
    F: R.O'Keefe, S.Reid, J.White
    Foll: S.Mumford, J.Kennedy, J.McVeigh
    Interchange: J.Bolton, G.Rohan, M.Seaby, B.Sumner
    Emg: C Bird, J Lamb, B Meredith

That is a great team and congratulations and best wishes to Sumner and Everitt on their debut for the Swans.
I thought I heard Longmire say yesterday that Sumner was probably a week away so great to see him named in the final team. Must have done something special in training today!
Not so good hearing Bradshaw isn't running and they'll scan his knee next week.
Do we know who the sub is?

We won't find out until 90 minutes before first bounce when the final team is announced. All 4 subs named in the 2 matches so far have been half-back/running types. If that trend were to carry over to our game, a good guess would be one out of Sumner, Rohan or Bevan.

With TDL is there a possible issue with he can only play that small forward role? Rohan and Sumner can play both forward and back.

No, not just you. I didn't think he had a great preseason either.

It's an interesting team. Although some have said the days of two ruckmen have gone and we will see one ruckman supported by a forward/ruckman like Leigh Brown or Jesse White, I suspect that a team with two genuine ruckmen will have the advantage, provided they are both sufficiently versatile to be a genuine option either forward or in defence. I think Mumford and Seaby both have that kind of versatility, and any opponent that goes in against us with one ruckman plus a "spare" will be taking a serious risk. Elsewhere we have a good balance of height, strength at the ball and genuine pace; it should be enough to get us there.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Good luck to Everitt and Sumner for their first games. Interesting to see Jed Lamb on the emergencies list, he may be closer to playing than I thought.

    Bevan....BEVAN!!!

No doubt Sumner will be the interchange. Suprised to see Goodes named at CHF, see if it's just silly buggers and Reid will be CHF with White FF.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
