Thread: Changes for Rnd 7 v Bulldogs (Nipper Gordon to debut!)

  1. #181
it appears that if the AJ experiment continues to work we can put Shaw anywhere we want, which is more fun to watch then Bevo up front or in the backs

Everrit must be a project they want to work also...........

    Now that's ironic.

100% agree. I know that his forward pressure needs to improve, but we desperately need a different type of option up forward, and well he obviously can do alright on forward pressure as we saw in the Elimination Final last year. Disappointed he didn't get a run but pretty happy with the rest of the changes. I am also suprised AJ came back in so quickly, but I do think he looks a fine young player- he did several very good things in the game against West Coke that made me think he has a lot of upside potential. Certainly prefer him to Bevo down back.

Will Longmire go tall again? Everitt? Johnson?
or will Nipper be the impact player with his energy and running? Jetta would certainly inject something but I think without Jack and Rohan his pace will be essential for all 4 quarters.
Moore would be another candidate but he doesn't strike me as the type of player that would have an impact as a sub.

Don't you have to name the sub from players on the bench? and since Nipper has been named on a wing that makes him ineligible.

No that is incorrect, anyone can named as the sub.

All right thanks for that, would still be the wrong way to go though imo, I'm a bit weary of it since Wallis' debut for the dogs.

Footscray have some Talls in their team - Forwards listed are Minson 199 (FF), Hill 199, Jones 197, (CHF), Grant 192 (pocket) + Hudson at 199 rucking.

Our boys will be stretched (to make a pun)
