Yes yes... I just think we should give mini-Spida a decent crack in the forward line, from siren to siren... not just start him in defence, wait for him to screw up then chuck him forward when he's already lost his confidence for the day. If he's ineffective up there, then I'll be the first to suggest a run in the reserves to build some confidence/bring someone to the team who can be effective.

PS. LJ 24 possessions on the weekend, TDL five goals - a straight swap for White and Jetta surely! Oh and LRT due for a return too - for who I'm not sure.

Horse has ruled out LRT coming back for this match. Also sounds like he will promote some of the in-form players in the reserves, but will not go overboard.

I thought Tadhg had a damn fine game on Friday night. Got into the game well considering it was his first game back.
He'll be much better for that run.
Moore as well seemed to slot straight in, until he went AWOL in the middle of the game.

On a bigger ground and with hopefully dry weather Jetta should be retained. If TDL is to play then it should be in place of Bevan.

Agreed. Full game up front and then we can form a better opinion. The thing is, going on previous players before him, they probably will never do that. Would be worth it though I agree.

I gather Paul Bevan must have been sick or injured on Friday night. If he wasn't, he has no excuse. He was a disgrace and must be dropped.

I like Craig Bird, but he is struggling with his pace and disposal at the moment.

Jesse White also needs to go.

I would being in Grundy, Parker and TDL (LJ would also be close).

I'm a big fan of Bulldog as a sub. What you need in that position is someone who can impact the game because thay have football smarts. Given Bulldog's lack of engine and marginal lack of top speed I reckon he would relish the opportunity when the other players are tiring and the speed has gone out of their legs. This turns a disadavantage into an advantage. Keeping him fit between games is an issue but perhaps you do it in rotation with another player (say Rohan or Bird, both have shown the ability in the past to come on and have an impact).

Re Jesse White I think his main problem is that he has no idea how to play in the wet. He may be worth trying if Canberra is to be dry. If not I suggest that Grundy could be tried forward again. He has improved heaps since he was last tried there and might do the job well now.

Bevan's time has come. Meredith or McNeil or Lamb the replacement.

Jetta has not had a good game so far this year and needs to develop in the 2s. Uncle Byron to replace him.

    Parker the replacement for Jack.

Johnston for Everitt is logical. Again, some confidence building in the reserves would help.

Thats four changes , about as many as should be made in any one week. If you wanted to make one less then I guess I would retain Everitt, but it seems that Johnston has earnt a spot.
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

Tadhg's class showed that's for sure.

How has Lamb been going in the 2's...Wouldn't he be an ideal sub.....TDL def needs to come in, something we clearly lacked was the small crumbing forward on Friday night..Sam Reid needs to go back into the Fwd's, his contested marking is outstanding..
Everitt run hiukm in the 2's up forward to get confidence....We need Jetta at Manuka his speed will be needed but needs to work on his close in defensive pressure.....
Seaby in for Pyke..Seaby has been a noted goal kicker, somethign we need esp against the doggies...Bird needs to mold himself on Jude and Kirk...LJ def to come in, White to have a crack at the 2's for confidence as well....esp to work on his marking in contests....Moore i just dont know about him and his role atm....

Keep Jetta if it's dry, in the wet toss some big bodies in there, of course, you have to have them, and we don't, White has had a poor run, and to me although I realise Pyke did have a reasonable input last week, Seaby offers a bit more experience and can ruck with Mummy and swap between ruck and forward. Otherwise, start playing the young blokes, see what they got. This year is a bit of a write off really, may as well get some games into the younger brigade, so we can increase our depth

With Jack out, we will see either Merideth or Parker come in for him as we will need a specialised midfielder.

I reckon we are missing a forward at present who has that x factor, neither Bevan or Jetta (who is playing almost exclusively forward) have it, so it 's one of those for TDL. I reckon with Jack out that Jetta may get a repreive and play more in the middle on the larger oval.

Grundy back for Pike is the other one.

    In: Merideth, TDL and Grundy
Out: Jack (inj), Bevan and Pyke
