I may have missed something, but why is Dixon playing in the magoos for them?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

It's a crying shame this game is not being played on the SCG where you can view it in comfort and have a much better perspective of things.

Should be a real good game...

I think he was rested last week but his replacement Tom Lynch did really well as did their other forward Liam Patrick.

The most interesting selection for me is Bevo as a centreman. He's not especially quick but he can certainly tackle and is prepared to put his head down and chase the ball. It may not work, but it also may be a masterstroke, giving him another string to his bow and us another tough midfielder.
On the other hand, the listed positions may bear no relation to reality.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

As you have noted, I wouldn't pay too much attention to those positions. Bevan did play a little in the Reserves' midfield at the beginning of last year but he was so ineffective he was quickly moved out of there after just 1 half.

I was wondering the same thing. He will certainly represent a step up in challenge for Lewis, who looms as the only real possible opponent now that LRT has been promoted.

They have been trialling Currie down back in bits and pieces, he's certainly closer to Dixon's height (202cm) than Lewis.

Gee - I didn't realise Dixon was that tall. I thought he was more of White's height.
