    Changes
In: Seaby (senior demotion), Everitt (senior demotion), White (senior demotion), Parker (senior demotion), Heath (???), Bevan (senior demotion)
Out: Trent Dennis-Lane (foot), Daniel Currie (???), Gary Rohan (hamstring), Matthew Spangher (senior promotion)

There are major changes with 6 ins, 5 being dropped from the senior team, with 4 outs mainly due to injury which should result in a big shuffle-around.

Dennis-Lane, Spangher and to a lesser extent Currie have been the major source of goals in the past month and now the responsibilty will have to fall on the likes of White, Bevan, Johnston and/or Everitt. White is set to reprise his forward-backup ruck to Seaby role due to Currie's absence.

Parker will add some bite to the midfield setup and has a prospective clash against hardnut Daniel Harris. In defence, there is no obvious matchup for a forward of the size of Dixon who gave Lewis Johnston trouble in the previous game between these two sides. Everitt has been named at CHB but he will have similar weight issues playing on Dixon.

The RAMS finished their championships during the week so we'll hopefully get some of the regulars back soon in Potter, Guthrie and Lynch. Not sure what's happened to Mitch Thompson and Kane Murphy who have played so well.

    Talking points

    • Everitt - Hasn't played much football lately due to sub duties, will he line up in defence or attack?
    • Seaby - How will be the big Seabs rebound from getting dropped? The GC have some young and athletic ruckmen who could test Seaby in his work around the ground?
    • Johnston - Will this be the game that Lewis gets re-instated as a full time forward. I realise that Spangher has a bit more body size than him, but I think it might have rankled Lewis just a little to have a defender get the call up as a forward over him.

    Out:

Some experienced players in that squad in Harris, Krakouer and Coad to complement the exciting youngsters

    Summary
Will the effects of having such an easy two weeks be deletorious to the Reserves' chances of winning this match? Regardless of the result, the coaches will be looking forward to the tougher competition that this match promises and hopefully it won't be as much of a cakewalk as the Round 7 game.

    1) How does this cross pollination competing affect the ladders??
    2) I thought Southport were a strong club.
    3) Daniel Harris in the 2's?? No wonder he's tearing it up.

    4) great work mate.

Rory Pryor is listed on the Academy intake page.

There was a Lachlan Pryor who played a few games as a toppie for the reserves a few years back and who then got a scholarship with the Kangaroos. He didn't get a spot on the Roos list, and now plays for North Shore, I think. I believe he has also made some SFL representative squads. Highly likely that this is younger brother, given he also seems to be a North Shore listed affiliated player.

Absolutely correct, as usual Liz, and great work again ugg.

Rory Pryor is indeed the younger brother of Lachlan and has broken into the North Shore seniors this season. He joined Brandon Jack as a NAB Rising Star nominee last week (Sydney AFL - SportingPulse).

Oh, and ugg, I have word that the Swans' official teamsheet currently contains just 21 names, and Jarred Moore and Luke Parker are not on it. Presumably back up for Nick Smith and Kieren Jack in the seniors. Wonder what that means?

Sorry, made a mistake. It's Brett Meredith who is not on the teamlist. And he's not an emergency. Know even less what to read into that.

I'm spewing they're not playing closer to home.
This is the first weekend I've missed a live game - reserves or seniors - since easter.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Get yourself on a plane and fly up to Gold Coast and then you can get to watch both games.

No need for a plane, I'm sure Annie has a broom that flies.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Thanks Stell ... I actually have a few!!

I would have gone to the Gold Coast, but I flew over it when I went to Brisvegas and saw it from the plane window ... that was plenty close enough thank you.

SE Qld seriously sucks. Now I know why I've always gone straight to Cairns.
