Swans co-captain Jarrad McVeigh has had to withdraw from tonight's match against Essendon. Jarrad and his wife Clementine had baby Luella last week but she is experiencing complications and Jarrad wanted to stay in Sydney with his wife and daughter, a decision the club fully supports. Trent Dennis-Lane has come into the side to replace Jarrad.

Thinking of the McVeigh family and in particular Luella. Hope all ends up ok for her.
