All the Jets haters shouldn't get too comfortable and smug. It's no co-incidence that the other game this year he was dropped/rested was against Collingwood, the other team along with Geelong with a super tough hard bodied midfield.

Jets will be back for the Brisbane game....

They will be fine tuning for the Finals assault and we should be a push over for them. Even if we match them in field play we cannot score whereas they have scoring fire power to spare. Its also at their castle and their record there is amazing. I will be happy with an honest effort from the Swans and if by quirk of fate we actually kick accurately ,we could give them a run for their money. However the bookmakers odds say it all.

Geelong's results at Kardinia Park this year

    R3 Geelong 17.20 (122) Port Adelaide 6.7 (43) - WIN 79
    R7 Geelong 19.13 (127) North Melbourne 9.7 (61) - WIN 66
    R11 Geelong 23.10 (148) Western Bulldogs 13.9 (87) - WIN 61
    R14 Geelong 19.11 (125) Adelaide 10.13 (73) - WIN 52
    R19 Geelong 37.11 (233) Melbourne 7.5 (47) - WIN BY A LOT
    R20 Geelong 29.14 (188) Gold Coast 6.2 (38) - WIN BY NOT SO MUCH

Basically, if we can keep the margin to 8 goals or less OR Geelong to 18 goals or less, we will have exceeded expectations. Think positive!

*Granted it is a little misleading as it is very likely that none of those sides will play finals this year, with the Roos the only outside chance.

Haters is a bit harsh, we all want him to succeed but 6 touches and 3 clangers is not, at the moment, succeeding. Meredith deserves a chance and Parker was unlucky to be dropped, Jetta I am afraid has been lucky to hold his place, as Shakespere once (almost) said "promise does not alone make a spoil, tackle or kick 6 points" ......

    Umpires

    2. Michael VOZZO (22 wins 21 losses 51.2%)
    15. Mathew NICHOLLS (11 wins 5 losses 68.8%)
    26. Jason ARMSTRONG (2 wins 4 losses 1 draw 28.6%)

    EM: 14. Heath RYAN (2 wins 1 loss 66.7%)

    This year
Vozzo umpired the Gold Coast win
Nicholls umpired the West Coast and Brisbane wins
Armstrong umpired the Geelong and Carlton (Docklands) losses, Melbourne draw, Richmond (SCG) win

H.Ryan has umpired no Swans games this year

Changes to Swans from the Round 4 team at the SCG game in the wet:

Out: McVeigh, Everitt, Jetta and Bevan
In: Meredith, Spanger, Parker and Malceski

That game Geelong played Mooney, Corey, Milburn and (other) Hunt who have been replaced this time by Hawkins, Stokes, Byrnes and West.

Weather forecast for Saturday for Geelong is........?

Good ins for us right now.
When he ran off the field with blood pouring over his face I was worried he was too committed to the cause; but when he crossed the line, remembered there were ladies watching, and instantly started to roll his shoulders and sway his hips as he walked I knew he was one of our boys.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Very little hope of beating Geelong this week, we just don't need to get smashed either on the scoreboard or physically as we need to back up with a win next week against Brisbane.

Their margins this year at Kardinia Park are bloody awesome, can we keep it to 51 points or less and have the best record there this year?

Think it was about time Jetta had a break in the ressies, Parker and Meredith the two most logical ins with Gordon obviously banging loudly on the door, next one in if he performs thgis week in the twos.

It's been nearly 4 years since Davo retired so it's time for you to put yourself back out there. I think you've made a fine choice!
