    Jude

With Jude down a bit in form, what do people think of having him as a perm crumbing style forward? We know he is an OK shot and defensively is OK?

Don't know. Every year for about the past 5 he has burst out of the blocks at the start of the year and half way through the season would probably be leading the B&F. Come the end of the year he always seems to be generally making up the numbers with a good game here and there.

Seems to be following the trend at the moment.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Did anyone see this happen? From the MRP:

"Jude Bolton, Sydney Swans has been charged with a level one offence in that he made negligent contact with umpire Ray Chamberlain during the fourth quarter of the Round 22 match between the Sydney Swans and St Kilda at ANZ Stadium on Sunday August 21, 2011.

In summary he can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea."

A first offence for negligent contact with an umpire is a $1200 sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a $900 sanction.

I think Jude backed into him and Razor nearly fell over.
Luffy was having a laugh about it on MMM.

$900 for giving one to Razor ... that's cheap!!

Pity it wasn't Mummy or Jesse. Jude's certainly not in the same weight division of these 2.

Razor would have left a razor-shaped indent in the mud on the wings had Mummy done it!!

It was negligent coz he didn't hit Ray harder!

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

And I got pinged for making the suggestion last week!!! Perhaps we should send round the hat.

Sheesh, I just went and had a look at it. They have got to be kidding!!!! The little Pot went flying back meters and ran into Jude who was to all intents and purposes watching and moving to the play!! I hope there is a protest. Twirpdom at its finest!

Presumably the fine was for not hitting him hard enough. Must try harder Jude.

    Edit: D'oh, too slow!

I would love to be able to just send Jude a cheque c/o the club, with a big THANK YOU card, a bottle of bubbly, and maybe some "Well Done Son" balloons. (Alas, champagne dreams, beer budget.)

Defensively he is great. Shooting for goal is mediocre. Happy to have him as a crumbing forward so long as he is feeding the ball out to a Deadeye Dick who is a great shot for goal. And therein lies the real problem with the forward line....
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form
