Post TLM Count - Round 1-2

Without further ado, let's get it underway.
Will 2011 Skilton Medallist Adam Goodes continue the tradition of TLM/Skilton double, which has not happened for a few years?
Can someone else knock him off his perch of 2 successive wins?

    Round 1 v Melbourne, MCG.

    Sydney11.1884Melbourne11.1884

Brownlow Medal 3:Ryan OKeefe (SY) 2:Brent Moloney (ME) 1:Ben McGlynn (SY)

Everitt and Sumner debut for the Swans. Longmire in the top job for the first time, and the all new controversial Substitute Rule.
The Swans jumped out of the blocks early before the Demons fought back. Some poor kicking in the 2nd term from the Demons had the swans in front at half time, But then it was the swans turn for the inaccuracy with 9 behinds. But for more inaccuracy the demons may have won, but the Swans held on for a draw.

Jude Bolton was thrown forward with great effect snaring 3 goals, including one from a miracle one handed mark. Ted kept the dangerous Jurrah most of the day, but it took another miracle one handed grab, to beat Ted. The biggest move was the Subs, Seaby failed to have much of an impact, while the fresh legs of Petterd up forward gave the Demons plenty of chances.

3 goals to Jude and McGlynn, and 2 to Goodes who was well held by Garland after qtr time.

    0-0-1

Round 2 v Essendon, Stadium Australia.

    Sydney14.1498Essendon13.1593

Brownlow Medal 3:Ben McGlynn (SY) 2:Jude Bolton (SY) 1:Jobe Watson (ES)

The swans failed to make the most of a dominant start with 1.3 and the bombers kicked away to lead at each change. Each side dominated for periods, before the swans kicked away with McGlynn (2) and then Bolton kicking the Match winning goal, in a come from behind win.

Bolton and McGlynn again combined for 3 goals a piece.

    1-0-1.
