Round 12 v Richmond, SCG
Sydney 9.21 75 Richmond 9.11 65
Brownlow Medal 3:Mark Seaby (SY) 2:Ryan OKeefe (SY) 1: Dustin Martin (RI)
The swans did their best to keep the tigers in the hunt all day with some wayward kicking. A huge 21 behinds, Reid and Goodes the worst offenders with 5 and 4 respectively. That aside the Swans totally dominated the Tigers for most of the game, Dustin Martin tried valiantly to win the game on his own but they eventually fell short.
Swans by 10. 2 goals each to Jetta and Reid. O'Keefe and Kennedy lead the possession getters, whilst 3 players register 10 or more tackles, Bolton (11) and Mattner and Bird with 10. Seaby was outstanding in the Ruck.

Round 13 v Carlton, Etihad
Sydney 10.6 66 Carlton 15.10 100
Brownlow Medal 3:Matthew Kreuzer (CA) 2:Marc Murphy (CA) 1:Bryce Gibbs (CA)
3 goals to 1 point in the first 15 minutes and the swans looked like they had Carltons measure. In only his second Game back from serious injury Matthew Kreuzer showed what a dominant player he can be and ran into open space to regularly, and fed the ball to the hungry blues midfielders with precision at times. The blues poured on the next 7 goals to no score at all, before Malceksi scored a major to stop the rot. It didn't last long with the blues dominating the 3rd with 6 goals to 1 behind. The swans only managed 7 points in those 2 quarters. A late fight back by the swans but the blues ran out easy winners.
2 goals to both Jack and Goodes. Kennedy and O'Keefe led the disposals (26 and 25). Nick Smith kept the dangerous Eddie Betts under control most of the day, whilst Bird shut down Judd.
7-4-1.
