    Post TLM Count - Round 21-22

    Round 21 v Richmond, MCG

    Tigers had all the play early but failed to capitalise on the scoreboard. The swans then had all the scoring, but most were behinds. Half way through the 2nd the tigers took control extending their lead at every change.

    Goodes' hanger over Houli was the one highlight from the game.

    Tigers by 43. 2 goals each to Kennedy and O'Keefe. 28 disposals to Hannebery.

    After an early goal to Shaw, the Swans scored 10 behinds in a row, only one of them was rushed, while the Saints were more accurate. A late goal to McVeigh in the dying seconds of the 2nd term saw the Swans behind by only 10 points. 3 goals a piece in the 3rd but the swans outscored the saints by singles. 3 goals in 5 mins to open the final term and suddenly it was the Saints playing catch up. Reiwoldt and Milne both missed what they would normaly get, and then big Mumford stepped up to seal the result.

    Swans by a 15. All single goal kickers.Shaw (29), Hannebery and McVeigh (27) led the disposal count, while Mumford had 54 hitouts, 16 disposals, 1 Goal and 6 tackles in a mammoth effort.

    10-9-1.

    Goodes extends his lead to 9 from Kennedy, who has now jumped to second. Bolton slips to 3rd with Hannebery in 4 spot. Mumford was the big mover jumping up

    The guys getting the points in the last few rounds: Hanners, JK and Mummy. The suspect the performance of the former two is in part a result of superior fitness at the back end of the season; Mummy's points a result of overcoming injury and getting some games under his belt. Meanwhile, points from R'OK and Jude have dried up.

    JK and Mumford both suffered knee injuries in about rnd 4 and needed jabs to keep getting out on the ground each week.
    I was told this at the St Kilda Final where they were both still suffering.

    So it makes there effort in this stage of the season all the more extraordinary.
