I was ruled ineligible for the Brownlow Medal on a technicality. The technicality being that I didn't play.
Sports Calendar - when too much sport is never enough.
Some interesting posts there PK,
have to like this one ..
""One of the obvious options would be a requirement that the home team provide properly qualified medical support for both sides, at least at the lower levels ""
The possible costs and organisational savings to clubs as a result, could be worthwhile considering.
Sorry but how many clubs actually have properly qualified medical support and what consitutues as properly qualified? Some have people who have done a strapping course whilst others have fully qualified phyios and people with sport science degrees. Some clubs require their players to supply their own tape and contribute financially should they want to be seen by the physio whilst others dont so how would that be managed?
More importantly our physios know our players and their medical history and specific requirements - I cant see my boys receiving the same treatment no matter how qualified or good intentioned a stranger would be.
