I think I might try and catch a few games of the Demons this year just to watch Bevo (even though I follopw West Perth). I liked Paul Bevan. Not a star but a good handy trier who had some good highlights - but as said above he could be frustrating at times. I really felt for him when he starred in the final game 2010 I think and was overlooked for the final against Carlton in favour of McGlynn. Or was it that actual final vs Carlton where he kicked a couple of fantastic goals? He got a bit bitter and twisted over that and wanted a trade. Will add a bit of interest to the WAFL this year.

Don't expect any mercy from Big Al. I once saw him knock back a free hot dog and pie at a ressies game. The man has ice in his veins !!!

I bet it wasn't being offered to him by the Gatoraide girl, reckon his response might have been a bit different then!

From what I have seen on this site Al is a BBQ man specialising in snags and lashings of onions. No wonder he knocked back the hot dog and pie. He would class that as junk food.

Thanks giant - and good luck Bevo. Glad to see he gets to keep playing.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I've always been a fan of Bevo's, just not in the backline. All the best to him and he deserves an appreciative following in WA.

Bevan was useless most of the time and I'm not changing my opinion because he was lucky enough to be picked in a Grand Final side. Although those 5 possessions were indeed game changing possessions so maybe you have a point.
