Al is just trying to be fair no-one should doubt his commitment to the Swans after all he has done for this site. I agree with 707 & Al & I am a Swans member not a member of any other club. I have never had membership of any other club in the AFL. I have been a member of the Glenelg Footy Club, there make something out of that. By the way you conspiracy theorists are starting to make me think you all come from South Australia

Thank you Wolfie, that's very much appreciated. My conscience is clear mate and no amount of baiting about my commitment to the Swans will change that.

Wolftone, I was taking the piss, mate.

Although I've only just started becoming a regular here, I do like to have a laugh and that was where the closet GWS fan crack came from.

wow amazing how righteous some are here with this "its all or nothing - its the Swans or its GWS - not the two together" crap - I thought it was a free world if a person wants to be a member of two clubs thats their business and their perogative. the internet stonings here have to cease. the thing is its just footy - its not life or death, its not third world poverty or killings in warzones - it just footy. am I to copy an internet stoning because , god forbid. I'm a member of the Cronulla Sharks too - argh another code. OMG OMG thats not allowed? Geez Louise!!! If some of you showed your passion & concern about the things that really matter in life like you do about footy - the world would be a much better place.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

i'd be a member of 4 or 5 footy clubs if I had the money Wardy. But I don't so my choice is purely economics and tha fact I don't like the other codes enough to really care very much. But I do promote their right to co-exist. I just love my Aussie Rules whether it be AFL, SANFL, VFL, WAFL, NEAFL or Country Footy.

thats what I'm saying - things change. We have choices and its no ones beezwax to say who we can or who we cant barrack for or support. we do what we do coz we are free to do so or can afford to do so - we certainly dont have to answer to people on an internet forum thats for sure!

Thank you to Wardy and Wolftone for making a lot of sense.

As I said above, my conscience is clear. I won't be responding directly to people who wish to bait me.

There are some fanatics similar to religious zealots who think there is one true club/code and it is sad that they think that you can only support one club, and if you don't think that way, then you are less passionate.

It is a very sad and myopic point of view, and completely unnecessary!

I don't like closing threads as a general rule, but I think you're right in this instance. Although the conversation has remained mostly civil, the antagonism specially directed towards Big Al for his stance isn't consistent with what RWO is meant to be about.

No doubt the topic of GWS (and dual support) will crop up frequently in the future. Please just bear in mind that even if you don't agree with someone else's position on this matter, you should still respect their right to hold that position. And if you neither agree nor respect it, it is probably best to keep your thoughts quite, at least on here.
