Quakers Hill on their own cannot and will not sustain an 18s on their own. Couldn't do it when I was there, couldn't when I tried to set up an 18s program a few years ago either. This is why the Western Jets 18s were set up between Hawkesbury and Quakers. We have Johno out here now and he has set up the numbers for us, bringing our juniors back from Parra. A good effort when you consider the SHEagles have two 18s teams less than 20 minutes down the road, and Penriff the same distance.

Taking some handy players from Balmain, Wests and C'town.
Interesting to note they are supposedly picking up players from PNG - you wouldnt think they could be pushing for a NEAFL spot though.

See on their website they have been spending over 3 hours some nights at training - cant see too many players being interested in that

They are looking fit. Definitely a lift from previous seasons. Great to see a lift in effort and eagerness to succeed at a higher level.

Nothing noted about their Div 3 (Besides Monday training at a TBC venue) and Challenge Cup, most certainly self sufficient by appearance.

Great to see the Gosford AFC website up and running, certainly looking forward to meeting them in the middle of the season and wish them all the best of luck.

Note that Balmain have a number of inward clearances pending.

Josh Cass is a name that stands out, was a terrific young player at Nor-West and will be a big loss for them, hopefully does well at the Dockers.

A few recruits from WA and Tassie as well.

Yeah, sad to see young Bondi leave Bensons but he does so with all our encouragement, the kid has an opportunity to be a star. He'll continue his footy under Bully down there, just hope the distraction of P plates, hitting the syrup and chasing skirt (My Hird the boy can pull the birds) doesn't influence him too much.

Let's just hope he had the good sense to skim something off those rivers of gold that flow down there.

On another note, I'm hearing on the grapevine that Tadhg Kennelly might be pulling the boots on over St.George way.........

Tinny bastard probably took all the good stuff with him! Still baffled how he didn't make the State squad.

    Agreed.

I'd suggest he would have stood a far better chance if he had have played down the road...........

Hit the nail on the head, the kid is a machine and has played against solid full grown opposition for 3 years now. Funny though, when the GWS squad was selected, it showed suburb of origin and when the state squad selected, club. Strange. He could've played at SHEagles this year, much closer to home for him, but didn't enjoy his brief time in 18s there so decided to follow Bully.
