I was going off the SportingPulse site, which was doing very strange things at times last night. Not sure if Campbelltown's Under 18s change in divisions had been fully entered.

What happened to Riff 18s on the weekend? Severely undermanned according to their match report. I expected Shore to give them a touch up but not by that much. Weren't you close to fielding 2 18s teams this year?

Yep, very disappointing with the 18's.

We had a number unavailable anyway but four more pulled out leading up to the match, meaning we had to grab some U/16's at the last minute. We had confirmed 40 players with a number of other possibles when we put in the request for two 18's teams towards the end of last year, but that was on the proviso we were able to offer Division 2/3 footy to cater for all levels, and many of those pulled out unfortunately once they knew they'd be having to play Div 1. A couple of 18's eligible guys are also playing seniors which is a bit of a change of policy for us.

Good effort in the ones given we had 7-8 out for various reasons, although having said that I've got a feeling that the Warriors had a few out themselves. Still, it gives us some encouragement that we can compete at the level, with Mac Uni being up near the pointy end last season.

It was a technical glitch on Sunday night, although I had heard a rumour which I didn't want to put up at the time. Sadly, my mail was spot on. It's unfortunate after Campbelltown won the 18s last year.
