Round 5 vs hawthorn gameday thread

Only a few hours away now.

Huge test to see if weve improved against the team that kicked us out last year.

If we can win this the rest of the comp will take note and well be rated a genuine contender.

    Cant wait

I think Jesse is unlucky to have been relegated to "Emergency" status.

Looking for a return to form from Goodes.

White very unlucky going by his game last week. considering Everitt got a game ahead of him.

I'm expecting a huge game from Goodes.
Should be well and truly rested.

Last night Scott Watters said they were looking forward to playing the three top teams - hawks, Carlton and Geelong. No mention of us. Let's show them all today.

Ha who cares what St Kilda's coach thinks - they are washed up and on the slide. I'm sure they are looking forward to playing the top teams, and getting belted.

Tough one today, but I'm feeling alright about it, I think we will do ok - even if we can't beat them I want a good performance to show everyone in the league we are serious about getting up the ladder this year.

Perfect day for footy here in Launceston today. Saw a few folks in Swans gear about town last night. Go Swans!

You mean the year we were Minor Premiers and played Hawthorn who finished 8th? We were rated no chance?

    I don't think so....

Surprising, but may be a good move. I imagine with the few weeks off they may be concerned with his ability to run with Cyril all day. Cyril has a habit of coming to life late in games when he gets off the leash, hopefully a fresh Smooch can come on and negate that aspect. Smooch is also more than capable of a cameo in the midfield if necessary.
