If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhood
A huge loss for us, with some huge games over the next couple of months to come. But, and its only a minor benefit, he will get a good break to shake off some niggles and be 100% when he returns later in the season - something that could be very useful if we are going to challenge later in the season (The same logic can be applied to Goodesy!)
It's a huge loss, but I sort of feel like losing his type of player is probably the sort of loss we can cover most easily. We don't exactly lack for tough mids. Opportunity for someone in the seconds to try and gain a sport.
It will be interesting to see who replaces Parker....
In terms of a similar style player, Mitchell is an obvious choice. But he's probably 2 or 3 weeks away still.
Maybe Moore...good player...but he's so slow.
Not sure which of the other young players is ready, if any.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT
Gee he's tough. It happened right in front of us and he hardly grimaced; straight away he knew something was awry and motioned to the sideline.
He also made a point of immediately jumping to his feet despite the injury. He will be missed.
I don't think there is anyone to replace Parks, he's one tough hombre, looks like Jude and ROK will be spending more time in the middle. I'd say play Armstrong, but I doubt he'd last long in the midfield rotation. t will be a game by game thing, with the bombers next week we'll have to look at match ups and who will take Stanton and Watson man to man and shut them out. These are not particularly fast players, but seem to find space and watching the Melbourne game they had little impact and possibly the key to beating Essendon. If there is someone in the ressies who can do a good run with job on these guys, I don't know who it is
You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe Walsh
push shaw into midfield rotation as his kikcing out of the backline is still terrible
but shaws tagging is very good
let Lou Armstrong play HBF
"be tough, only when it gets tough"
Firstly - Get well soon Luke! I like the way you go about your football.
Several options Nipper, Morton, Spanger or Moore would head my list. However the matchups need to be right!
