I think TDL is trying to pick up his player but there is always another player getting loose. Until that quarter it was obvious that we were missing the stability that Sammy gives us. We were better that quarter. A couple of our experienced players have been given the run around a couple of times on the kick outs by younger and faster opponents. But have generally been able to outfox them in general play in the middle and in defence. Defence the best!!!
TDL is also having to pick up a key position player at times which he wouldn't have done too often.

Our forward line marking is atrocious. Seriously poor in contested marking. Feel bad giving it to Goodesy, but he's been very disappointing in this regard tonight.
Clearly we are, his chase on the outlet has been dreadful. I am willing to give him some slack on his hands/leading and positioning, given he has come from a lower standard. There is no excuse for the way he has not followed out and has been caught under the ball when we are trying to zone off or follow the spread.
