    its time Adam

It is without doubt time for Goodes to rise up this season

it takes 22 players to win against a team like the Pies or any of the big games heading home

but without Reid for the big games due to 2 to 3 weeks out min with his knee injury..........mummy maybe out also?........we need our midfield winning and our key forwards giving their absolute best

Adam has come back very slowly and we need him be that catalyst now !!!!

we can beat the blues forwards with our backline

we can beat the blues with our midfield rotation

we just need to dominate their back line !!!!

Adam needs to start firing on all cylinders !!!!!

Fair call. It's good that we don't rely on him as much, but to win a premiership we must have him firing.

I thought he had a fair last half but was pretty quiet in the first half.

Once Reid went off the forward structure was a bit off and it became easy to 2 or 3 out Goodes. Possibly why LRT bobbed up with 4. At Adam's age he's not going to be as good with the ball on the ground as he used to be and would still be finding confidence after his first ever real time out injury

Chilling out in the forward line makes it too easy to camp two defenders on him. He needs to roam wherever he pleases.

Spot on - especially on Saturday night once Reid went down. GC had 2 if not 3 defenders on him for so much of the night.

He hasn't been anywhere near his best, but one thing champions do is lift when they need to - and we know that when we need a moment of Goodes inspiration (hopefully late on in September), he will lift and provide it. Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

He's a better forward when he spends more time in the midfield.

One forward with two defenders means another player without an opponent. Such a tactic can be exploited.

LRT was the main beneficiary of this. He kicked 4 goals. This is his highest goal tally in a match, beating the 3 goals he kicked against Brisbane in round 11 last year and Fremantle in round 17 last year. 4 goals is 10% of his goal tally for his entire career (40).
