Any stand out tips for the various Medals tonight?
Interested in Clubs top vote getters and whether the Clubs top chances are more likely Journeymen than Rising Stars due to young talent being taken up to Swans Reserves, Giants etc.

Would be hard to go past Dane Rampe for the Phelan Medal. That guy is freakishly good!

Connor Petterson for Div 1 medal
In every game there is going to be a cross-road, and when you get to that cross-road you either step up, or you step down!

A fantastic night at Doltone House. The comedian was brilliant, food good and some top beers. Congrats to all winners and the AFL for a great celebration of Sydney Footy.

Great news for Brent Johnston. A very talented young player and a key part of our future. Congratulations Brenno.
"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

    YOU BETCHA!!!!!!

And congratulations too to Peter Physick from Baulko. He's been a workhorse for that club for a hundred years, doing everything from marking out the lines, to keeping time, to serving at the canteen. Not to mention his management roles and innovative ideas.
I'm no Baulko-lover but have great respect for what he has done for that club - if it wasn't for him, they'd still be the Falcons playing in maroon on the moonscape at Chas McLaughlin.
    Well done Sir !

A complete and utter joke that is.

A flat track bully who kicked a bagful against weak opposition but actually struggled against top quality SFA defenders when they were in a decent side that stopped his supply. Sydney Uni (MacBeth, Mulvey et al) gave him heaps of trouble and he never kicked more than one or two against Ollington from Mac Uni if I recall correctly...

Never had the bottle to test him at the highest level and regularly went missing when the going got tough

So, we are now rewarding medicority by elevating third graders to our Hall of Fame. An insult to every other member of that select group - certinly he should never be mentioned in the same sentence as MacPherson.

If ever we needed confirmation that the game in Sydney is run by a complete pack of jokers then this takes the absolute cake....

Seriously, how can we have someone in the Hall of Fame who NEVER played a game of first grade in his life....

Would the AFL have someone who consistently kicked tons in the VAFA but was too scared to have a go at the AFL because he might not succeed get in the AFL Hall of Fame? I do not think so.....

    An absolute disgrace...

I can only assume that Jacko's life membership was part of his routine.

Whilst they were at it, why not admit Timmy Anderson and Zoots and all the other big time charlies down there who love being small fish in a big pond but never have the guts to step up and push themselves.

This has to be a mistake surely????

That's the going rate according to the info on one of his booking agent's websites, unless the AFL managed to negotiate something cheaper.

Still waiting for someone to jump in and defend Hogarth which is probably instructive. His one sentence acceptance speech was particularly impressive.

Came up with some good lines, but wasn't the sort of guy that had you rolling in the aisles. Marty Field the year before was very funny.

Maybe they should just flash up some of the posts from the years RWO forum in future instead of paying the big bucks.

Lot's of hilarious stuff to choose from.
