Jesse still wouldn't run and chase today. I even found him frustrating in the 2s.

Reported today that McGlynn is zero chance for this week and only a very outside chance (30%) of the GF. Has only just started running again.

Fair point too. White gives us a bit more marking and goal kicking than Pike and would cause their defence more concern. Like I said, its a smoky

Pyke is a better contested mark than Jesse. As a senior player, White offers very little at all, which he's shown time and time again.

Article at Swans website seems to be talking up TDL's chances for selection and also mentions Armstrong, Walsh as in the mix. And says McGlynn a definite out.

    So a smoky might be:

    Out: McGlynn, Pyke
    In: Armstrong, White
    We don't need Grundy either?

Next you will be saying we dont need Goodes or Jack

Three players from today's game were afforded the luxury of a plane back to Sydney - Armstrong, Spangher and Walsh. Presumably the rest were on the bus. That might provide some clue as to those most likely to be emergencies for Friday's game, if not in the team itself. Of those, Armstrong is the only one you'd think might force his way in other than for injuries.

I'll be very surprised with any change other than Grundy in for McGlynn.

Jude will play more time as a forward to cover for Benny.

    Sub will be interesting though.

    Maybe Malceski as sub

I'd like to see Parker get a full game.

I was sitting behind the benches today, and Walsh looked very sore when he came off before half time, so I wouldn't be suprised if there are injury concerns around him. Spangher really didn't do much for me either - but he is an obvious candidate for an emergency. Armstrong I would think is the most likely of those three to perhaps play on Friday.

Still think it'll be Grundy for Mcglynn and that'll be it!

We must go small/tall as subs I'd think Armstrong,Walsh/Spangher,TDL...and Grundy for McGlynn....what's the weather Friday?
