Is the annual Bombers match at North Sydney on in Feb ?

I love this fixture. I love the anticipation about the season ahead in the pub across the road beforehand. I love North Sydney Oval and all its quirks. I don't pretend for a minute that the match is anything but an interesting sideshow and experiment.

I really hope it happens again. First chance to see the youngsters.

Guaranteed to be wet though. Play bombers = deluge. Doesn't matter if its NSO, SCG or TS

Haven't heard it confirmed but I hear the game will be held on Feb 14 since it's rumoured that Sheedy will be here on the 13th for a function.... bring your umbrella.

Yes it's on. Either the 14th or 15th, can't remember if it's a saturday or sunday.

    I agree, it's a great day.

How do you know it is free entry for members - great if it is.
I also like attending this game to see the young ones do their bit.
    Love those Swans

Becasue my membership renewal package says my 2004 membership includes entrance to all practice matches.

Hmmm ... sounds almost too good to be true considering that the Swans are engaging in a major cost cutting exercise to return to the black.

That North Sydney game must generate $ 100 - $ 200 k in revenue plus concessions.

Plus the fact that it's almost always close to a sell out.

But I'll take it if it's so .. more money for the beer kitty!!

It says the same thing in the Victorian Membership package, so by that logic, the Swans will be playing a practice match in Melbourne. Won't happen though, I guess they are talking about AFL funded practice matches, so that the Swans don't lose money and the Essendon match at NSO is funded by Essendon and Sydney jointly, so I doubt there will be free entry.
    Once was, now elsewhere

Incorrect Robbie. The match is organised and run by NSWAFL. There is no subsidy by the Swans or Bombers.

Doubt very much whether it will be free.
