Having watched the game over and over it really was a game where EVERY SINGLE ONE of our players played about as well as they could. I am not sure the same could be said for hawthorn. Whether that was because of our defensive efforts (ie keeping burchell out of the game, grundy spoiling roughhead when it got to him, young smith and burgoyne relatively quiet, smooch on rioli etc) they have a fair bit of upside, whereas that group who played their hearts out for us may not - except perhaps for the injuries to goodes, richards, mumford and bolton which all restricted their ability on the big day. But full credit to the players and coaches - to have set ups which repeatedly worked for us was amazing.

I sure hope we do an incredible deal for kennedy this year - i'd be happy to sign him to a five year contract to be honest.
