Is it just me or has the "Jesse wanted to be traded" morphed into "Swans trying to offload him as part of the Tippett deal"? Given the churn within our fringe community I hope he stays.

Given that no club seemed interested in him, he needs a monster season in 2013 to have any hope of staying in the comp.

He needs a fair crack at playing FF. Can't ruck to save his life.

I used to think like this, but his best NEAFL form this year actually came when he went into the ruck.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Yep, he was half decent in the second half of the year playing that role.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

That sounds like a certain 300 game player a few years ago.......look what it did for him.

    Jesse White's future

It beggars belief that Angus Graham got picked up, Cam Pederson was being pursued ( not sure if he got picked up), yet White couldn't generate and firm interest. I'd have him over Graham any day, and has Pederson done a single thing of note at AFL level? If he has I haven't heard about it.

the funny thing is Ted Richards at 27yrs of age couldnt get a spot in our team and was thinking his career was over

3 yrs later ends up AA !!!

stranger things have happened and maybe Jesse finds that little bit of mongrel that saids its time to run out games and be brilliant at the pressure parts of football

Yeah, I've noticed this...and it wont help his confidence, to know that he was the hot potato nobody wanted.

I hope he stays and have long thought they should try him in defence. He just doesn't impose himself enough for long enough when playing forward.

I think he'd be a better player being led to the ball.

All this might toughen him up - hopefully. A good life experience at least.

I saw one of the ressies games that was streamed late in the season and thought Jesse was doing a good job in the ruck. However he had at least 2 easy set shots on goal for points which made me wonder where the player who was kicking 8 and 10 goals a game a few years back, in the ressies, had gone. Maybe he (if still on the list) and Everitt should be made to spend time with Hanners over the pre-season to find out what intensity is all about.

It appears Jessie probably doesn't have what it takes to play at the highest level. He has been retained on the list to date (he was the one who wanted to be traded) and is earning a pretty good quid to boot. Lets hope for his sake he can improve in 2013 and be seen as a recognised player.
