    Solution:

Become an Essendon supporter for the next couple of weeks.

Then you'll have nothing to look forward to. And work will seem exciting.

Too busy enjoying last season to even think about this one let alone crave for it to start.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Yes I keep catching those games from last year and long for this season to start, even looking forward to the NAB Cup games because we'll get to see some up and comers.

So to exercise the mind, how many are we likely to see? Is it 26 in a team for these games?

From the Premiership 22 we definitely won't see Goodes, Smith and Mattner. Might not see senior citizens Richards, O'Keefe and Bolton in the first round? Tippett, Rohan and Mitchell won't front either. Mummy will have a managed workload leading in. So we'll see at least 10 or more non Premiership players.

Half a dozen we've already seen

    Everitt
    McGlynn
    Armstrong
    White
    Cunningham
    Walsh

These you would expect to see on the basis they are physically mature enough
Lamb should be close to his debut in the season proper
Towers was drafted as a mature age recruit so should be expected to debut this year
    Rampe got the endurance
Lockyer looked classy early last year from reports and is now fit
Naismith might be thrown in for a taste
Biggs showed a bit last year?
Membrey could be a surprise packet
    Marsh ?
    Lloyd ?
