I think this is a reminder how sometimes when players are going unnoticed, they're playing the role the coaches want i.e. Bird's tagging role. All of a sudden he's playing higher upfield, becoming more noticed by outsiders (media, RWOers) and lo and behold! He's back in the so-called good books again! Quiet does not always equal useless!

That's one of our great strengths, our depth in the midfield. There are a number of players who can go through there, and I think that's why teams are struggling to keep up.
He's right. He is part of the deepest midfield in the comp, and he is good at whatever he turns his hand to. That's (partly) why he wears No. 14 in a club that is not in the habit of making a big thing out of the numbers, and why he appears in the sig. Consistently our most underrated player.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I notice it came from the Advertiser, with a couple of other articles as well. They're keen on their footy over there aren't they?

Is there a record for the most games that three players have experienced together?

How many for the Goodes, Bolton and O'Keefe triumvirate?

That is the point of the article posted just above about the three. They equal the record this weekend.
