Swans Rampe up their defence - AFL.com.au
SYDNEY Swans rookie Dane Rampe will be promoted to the club's senior list this week as he firms as a round-one bolter for the start of their AFL premiership defence.
AFL.com.au can confirm that Rampe, a 22-year-old Sydneysider who was nabbed with pick No.37 in last year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft, will be added to the senior list as cover for the Swans' backline.
Perhaps Rampe to replace AJ, Benny to replace Mitch Morton & Armstong to replace whichever of Mattner and Smith isn't ready.
If Mummy isn't ready then things could get interesting, bring in Jessica? Or perhaps feed LRT back into the ruck and bring in a runner, perhaps Lamb, although more likely 'Dre.
Loose translation from the Latin is - I am tall, so I hit out.
Membrey, just coz I haven't seen him play and Liz's last report about him made me anxious for a look.
Shaw missed training but will be cherry ripe for Saturday, according to the club.
Shaw battling as Swans face struggle to get off ground
Plus some discussion about the Swans' readiness.
The feeling among rival teams is the Swans - who did not fully start preseason until December, one month after the Giants - will be most vulnerable early.
An insider from a Victorian club has noted the increase in the speed of the game has made it more difficult for teams which progress deep into the finals to hit the ground running the following season due to their shorter preparation. Conversely, while their rivals were letting their hair down in September, the Swans were in training so therefore returned from the break with more residual fitness.

I'm with M_B and for the same reasons. If Morton is not ready then give Membrey a run. But only if he is confident enough not to be intimidated by Goodsey breathing down his neck.
I remember the time, way back in the distant past, when Grundy was playing in the forward line scared stiff of getting in the way of Big Baz. While AG is not as scary as BBB was, to be an 18 yo newbie playing alongside an unpredictable 33 year old 'star' could be an extra bit of pressure he is not ready for. On the other hand he may be another AJ, and thrive on the challenge.
I tend to think it'll be the GF team with McGlynn, Armstrong and Rampe in for Morton, Mattner and AJ.
Today's a draft of your epitaph

I've hit a mental blank but who's out from the GF? AJ, Morton and ??
