McVeigh at the AFL season launch

As captain of the reigning premiers, McVeigh delivered a speech at yesterday's season launch. The article below has a link to the transcript of the full speech.

McVeigh grateful for support of all

For those with Fox who didn't catch it yesterday evening, I am sure Fox will be replaying their brief (half an hour) "highlights' package of the launch, which kicked off with another montage of GF day, including snippets of audio of Longmire and Clarkson addressing their charges before and during the game, and then moved onto McVeigh's speech in full.

    Defintely worth viewing.

He got a pump up on Twitter from Joel Selwood and Stevie J too, they loved his speech. Good to see Macca getting some comp-wide attention as face of the Swans, class act.

Great speech and an awesome montage!

Mcveigh is a wonderful man, and he is quickly developing into a wonderful leader of our club. Has been under-recognised by many in the game for a long time, but not any more!

Bring on 2013 - I trust in Mr McVeigh and Mr Jack to take the warriors in Red and White as far as they can. I will never forget that day in September 2012, but by gee I want to do it bludy again in September 2013!!

    Wonderful.
    Just wonderful.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
