The thing you need to understand is that Finey is a moderately functional nuff nuff. He can wipe his own botty and catch public transport but don't look to him for maths (his attempted salary cap analysis was hilarious) or rationality (he doesn't seem to understand that the Suns beat the Saints, which means we had a harder second round than if we had been playing the Saints, in which case I'm sure he wouldn't have been grizzling). Forget the 2005 PF, I suspect he has never got over the fact that his daughter decided to be a Swans supporter. He tries to sound balanced every now and again but you can depend on the bile to emerge pretty regularly.

GWS at ANZ was due to the Easter show and HQ wanting big crowds for the opener. The Swans probably requested their first home game be against a low drawing opponent to give members every opportunity of seeing the flag unfurled. Leaving that aside, those forensically seeking evidence of favouritism are looking through the wrong end of their microscope.

Historically, we are weak at season's start and never more so than after a premiership. The AFL gave both expansion clubs their best chance to knock off the premiers. Didn't work but worth a try.

No easy games, Longmire and chief agree - AFL.com.au

SYDNEY Swans coach John Longmire scoffs at the idea his side has enjoyed a soft draw at the start of their premiership defence.

And league chief executive Andrew Demetriou agrees the Swans have not had it all their own way in the opening two rounds.
I fully agree with Horse, of course, but it must be said that the fact that they have both agreed doesn't really do anything to change the perception of favouritism!

    Dear Eddie,

No one gives a @@@@ what a game show host thinks so kindly stick to asking the audience and phoning a friend(if your have any) and let the grown ups get back to reasoned debate.

    Yours sincerely

    Your biggest fan.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

typical bigmouth mcguire having a whinge , its a wonder that maltmouth hasn't joined in with his usual bagging of the swans, i note that all the 'experts' in melbourne have already written off the swans saying that they are not in the the top 4 teams..keep it up nupties ,,bookies just give better odds on the premiers..

Does that mean we can whine about our extremely tough run into the finals we we face Geelong Hawththorn and Collingwood in the last few rounds ?

    Doesn't sound so silly.
