If you played, coached or watched any games this weekend, what were your thoughts?

Wests - undefeated after 2 rounds, and a whopping percentage booster against Sydney Hills. Are they a much-improved side?
What about Manly, starting with two wins?
Or Campelltown taking the fight up to UNSW-ES and only going down by a couple of kicks?

Many should be OK this season and a lot better for the run next year, it's a fertile catchment area

Looks like Lebanon United are struggling since their spititual leader's departure

Wests improved but eagles depleted bigtime, long season there!

Norris, I read with interest that you've ranked the PD teams in colour, and one colour is for "probable relegation".
Have I missed something here ? Will the wooden spoon team be relegated ?

I use the same colour scheme for the other division ladders below, that's where the red will appear late in the season when a wooden spooner becomes mathematically locked on.
There's no plans that I'm aware of to relegate any of the current Premier Division teams.

I can think of two early PD "contenders" for the wooden spoon who will be pleased to hear your news.

Please explain - sounds like a juicy rumour

I recall GB in the early planning days of NEAFL saying that the intention was for NEAFL clubs to have a Div 1 side as their reserves. Apparently later it was a condition of gaining a licence that NEAFL teams also had to have a team in the premier competition in their league.

It's a two edged sword really. Obviously we see East Coast and Uni struggling in PD, but if their two's were in Div 1, they would probably dominate given the flow of players they attract in the hope of playing NEAFL.

I think the Sydney clubs are on a 2 year licence which expires at the end of the year so things might change.

Not to much to explain, the league apparently has a preference that eagles and uni dont have a prem team. as said below it is a two edged sword which I would tend to agree with.
