    Essendon everyones 2nd club?

On AFL Game Day, on Sunday that knob who calls himself "hammer" (sarcastically I assume), asked the question of the panel whether Essendon was everyones 2nd team as they fight against the drug charges. All agreed, no more than lesser-McVeigh who is obviously conflicted up to his lopsided haircut.

I dont know how other Swans supporters feel, but I am going for everyone who plays against Essendon. The game needs to rub these cheats out of existance.

No "hammer", I wish nothing but the worst for Essendon, and anyone who rides a lame horse on TV.

I have felt this way ever since that grass tossing stager Lloyd played for them.

I dont mind lloydy. He's good on Footy Classified.

Lesser-McVeigh is however, a waste of space. If he dropped his essendon bias, he might, just might, be ok.

I don't agree. After St Kilda, they have to be my second most hated side.

I only hate the clubs whose postcodes don't start with a 2.

    My most hated side.

Probably why that free kick to Soloman against Bolton sticks in my mind.

I don't hate Essendon any more (which would be hard) or any less than I did before all this business came out.

Any journo who suggests that opposition fans are going to just put aside their feelings for a club like Essendon and start feeling sorry for them shows what little grip of the thought processes of the average fan they have.

OMG, wait until DoctorJ reads this thread...lol

That was small change compared to the Alessio mark in the goalsquare right in front of me. Very dark day.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Yes. It was a dark day.
My only satisfaction from that day was spilling the beers on the Bombers cow sitting in front of us.
    And yes is was accidental.

Then there was the "out of bounds" that wasn't.

I grew up in the Broadmeadows area of Melbourne where my family were the only Swans supporters surrounded by what seemed liked millions of Essendon supporters. In those days - the 60s and 70s - the Bombers used to smash us every time we played them.

Essendon my second team? Hardly! Too many bad memories and IF they've done the wrong thing with drugs, they deserve to be severely punished. (I can't imagine anyone feeling sorry for them, either.)

And does anyone else look on last year's match at Etihad against Essendon differently now? We were out on our feet and Essendon were as fresh as daisies?

No sympathy here at any for the big Victorian clubs. Can't stand their sense of entitlement, their inability to distinguish between VFL and AFL success and their obnoxious supporters. Essendon's problems are of their own making.
