    3rd quarter time clock

Just watching a replay of the game. Can someone explain to me how the 3rd quarter went for 38:40. Time Clock was stuck on 5::39 to go for ages during the quarter I think the timekeepers stuffed up

They obviously didn't take into account the time that the stretcher was on the ground

Just got to this section in the replay - the said it was foe the time the stretcher was on the field? Not sure how it works but that would make sense ...

I think the timekeepers may have stuffed up. The commentators lost the time feed with 5 minutes left on the clock and it was another 8 minutes before the siren went. I counted about 5 throw-ins/ball-ups in that time which I don't think could add up to 3 minutes. I reckon something went wrong and they just took a punt at what was the right time

The stretcher. They don't stop the count-up clock for it, and it took at least 5 minutes, probably more like 7-8, for it to get off the field. So yeah, that's why the quarter went 38 minutes.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!
