Non swans games that affect us thread.

A place to discuss games that affect our top 4/2 chances.

Richmond currently beating freo, which is great, hopefully they can finish the job

How likely is it that Essendon will be stripped of points?
Glad to see Richmond beat Fremantle, I've developed a strong disliking for them lately and it frees us up a bit in the top-4 temporarily

    Wouldn't rely on it.

Tigs are going to do us a favour. Going to create some tension in the household leading up to the SCG game next week though - can't handle my partner when she thinks the Tigs have a chance of beating the Swans.

Goes without saying that we still have to win our own points whatever happens in any other game.

Fremantle's loss to Richmond today only means something if we beat West Coast.....but it's a start.

Means we can afford to lose atleast one more game and remain in the tol 4 guaranteed.

Wether that game is today or rnd 23 doesn't matter. But yes a win today would be lovely.

Adelaid have started OK against geelong too.

    What he said.
It is seeming more unlikely that they will be stripped of points from what I've heard over the last week.
It would be a shame to make the top four on default. I'd much prefer to know that we made it of our own accord.

I am reasonably confident about top 4 for us now but I really really really want to finish ahead of Essendon. They have Hawthorn next and then Collingwood. They don't have any absolute gimmes to come but also don't have to leave Melbourne again in the regular season.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out how much is going to hinge on our last two home & away games against Geelong and Hawthorn. If we're serious and peaking as we should then we should win the four games prior to our trip to Geelong.

Incidentally, our last six games are all against Victorian opposition.
