On that note, how @@@@ing far out is Richmond, like 1.5 hours for a game of footy. Even worse when you lose.
Clearly you went the long way.

And Richmond to Wollongong was always a cracker when the Lions were in the SFA, 3-4 hours hungover in the morning, we'd win the 2s, sing the song, head to the sheds and gear up for another game in the 1s and get bashed!! 3-4 hours back on the syrup, singing songs, running amok.

So it appears to be a 10 team comp in all divisions except Div 5 (11 teams) next year.

Under 19's opting for an 8 team in each div scenario (1 promoted, 3 relegated)

    Women's 6 in Div 1 and 10 on Div 2 (1 promo, 1 relegated and 4 new teams)

Looks pretty fair at first glance.

Welcome to Wollondilly in Div 4. New favourites.

They finished last in the South Coast FL, but reckon they'll do better in Div 4, much better fit according to the bloke I was chatting to this morning. I'd imagine Illawarra's twos will take their spot in First Grade SCAFL.

    No Auburn though.

They've tried putting it up today, but SportingPulse is playing up.

Anyway, we have a total of 61 teams - 1 down on last year. All of the divisions will have 10 teams except Div 5 with 11.
The teams that are out are Illawarra's reserves (to South Coast AFL), Auburn are gone and Sydney Hills have dropped their Div 4 team. North Shore will field an extra team in Div 5, while Wollondilly is a new club in Div 4.
Dropping Balmain & Illawarra from Premier Division to Div 1 has had a bit of a knock-on effect, with Sydney Uni not being promoted from Div 2, while North Shore & Sydney Hills' Div 1 teams are both relegated to Div 2.

Div 1 is looking more like SFA First Grade, with a couple of exceptions being promoted to PD and others working their way up.

Div 2 is looking more like Premier Div Reserves these days. If Balmain Div 3 and Campbelltown Div 4 where in Div 2 it would almost complete the set.

    Who would have thought?

Interesting point by Steiger. When the divisional structure was introduced in 2009, 8 out of 10 Premier Division clubs had a team in Div 1. In 2014, only 4 Premier Division clubs will have a Div 1 team. There'll be 7 Premier Division clubs with a Div 2 team; so Premier clubs with their magoos in Div 2 could potentially have less splits than those with Div 1 ressies.

Thanks for the info, did North Shore end up with two U/ 19 teams, other changes in the U/19's.

    Just the one.

The final structure of the Under 19s is still being worked out - it's likely each division will have 8 teams (Manly up, Macarthur Southern Power & Wests down, Riverview don't seem to be anywhere). They may split Div 2 into conferences to minimise travel & club splits, but that's not confirmed yet.

Does anyone find it ironic that that conferences are east and west and with the exception of southern power(south) the rest of the teams are all west and none are located in the east.

More so that Wests are in the East.

I would guess that Riverview have reconsidered their involvement due to it being U19 now? It would make it difficult for them fielding a team of primarily 17 year olds. On the flip side it might help the Uni clubs as it now covers first and second year students. Hard to say really
