Only 3 of the 9 leadership group members are playing: Shaw, ROK and Smith. Maybe they'll get one quarter each with the final term dependent on who was most successful in their quarter.

What about this team from the list

    B Shaw Grundy Rampe

    HB Malceski LRT N. Smith

    C Jetta ROK Hannebery

    HB Rohan Reid Cunningham

    F B. Jack Franklin Derickx

    Foll Pyke Parker Mitchell

    Res - Bird
    Towers
    J Lloyd
    Sub -Jeremy Laidler

    - Plenty of Depth for a midfield rotation i.e Lloyd, Cunningham, Bird
    - Blistering pace in the forward line - Rohan, Cunningham, B. Jack, Franklin
    - Solid dependable looking backline
    - Solid Ruck Duo (Pyke, Derickx, maybe LRT)

    I think you're 4 players short.

I made a 22 from the list, like it was a regular season game!

Those 4 other players would be on an expanded bench for the NAB format.

I would be intrigued to find out who the next in line best tall defender is between Aliir, Lockyer and X.Richards. We have also have Alex Johnson coming back at some point in the season!

One would think the 5 additions to the squad will play

Possibly Towers will drop out of the 29 (Franklin a big "in"); one of Naismith or Nankervis ditto (Pyke to start); and either Allir or XR to miss (LRT to come in and Lockyer to get more minutes than last week)

I am hopeful Marsh also gets some added minutes with Kennedy resting. There has been some hype from the team for him during the pre-season.

I think it's a practice game, so trying to pick a starting side and bench is relatively pointless. You can assume those bigger names who didn't play last week and have been named will get a decent run. You can probably assume that fringe players are likely to miss out. Beyond that, it doesn't really matter as long as we get as many of our blokes as close to match ready as we can for March 15.

Anyone been at training lately? Is AJ running? skills? Wondering what stage he's at.

AJ was running laps at a very tidy clip during the intra club game (along with Shane Biggs and Patrick Mitchell). He looked comfortable and did not appear to be favouring either leg.
