Surely they will play two ruckmen and not risk LRT who is coming back from a knee injury to be the second ruckman.
What is the go with Tippett's injury I hope its not one of those that gets reported as 2-3 weeks but turns into 10-12.

    Tendonitis, so who knows!
He was sitting all by himself at the game the other night, away from the rest of the resting players, looking very morose.

This is the latest injury list. I hope they aren't fudging.

    Adam Goodes Knee 4-6 weeks
    George Hewett Knee 1 week
    Luke Parker Eye 1 week
    Kurt Tippett Knee 3-4 weeks
    Tommy Walsh* Hamstring Indefinite
    Updated: Tuesday, March 4

That makes Tippett available in either round 2 or 3. Goodes anywhere from round 3-5. Lukie has to see a specialist this week so we will know more by Friday.

    I agree.

He shows tiny flashes, but that's it.

After loosing Lamb for nothing, another first round bust is not what the doctor ordered.

I think it is fair to say that our small forwards were in and out of the games so far in NAB and Intra ie Towers, Harry, BJ etc

For me when Dean Towers looks like he enjoys tackling as much as attacking then things will go to that next level.........that is the way of the swans and it is contested football. But Dean positionally looked alot stronger in the GWS game and I watched him closely the first two qtrs against the eagles and he looks more composed and decisive with his role

i think he will surprise a few this season as it sounds like BJ and Towers are contesting primarily for that HFF crumbing type roles........

The Swans love finding players to full fill a role and the HFF crumbing role is there for the taking if you are good enough and there could be even two if TomMitchell plays more midfield then HFF this season which i think he will

McGlynn - has been pushed back into the midfield rotation primarily it appears and confirmed by the coaches and Ben himself

Rohan - very much plays a leading forward role

Cunningham - it appears in preseason/intra club they are trying to push the kms into his legs and make him play more wing/midfield i suppose in part to cover for Jetta if injuries and or lack of fitness continue to make life hard for Lewis to get back in the 22...........but Harry is on the rise anyway and within a season or two could become a serious wing midfielder

On the small forwards being in and out of the game in most of the preseason. What happens is that a small forward looks dangerous and the opposition shifts their best small option to them. They go out of the game with heavy checking and this frees up another small forward whose opponent is not seen as the best defensive option. This happened against GWS. Against Eagles we simply did not get the ball in there often enough and when we did the delivery was woeful. But under those conditions I thought the small forwards tried hard but were outnumbered at the fall of the ball every time. Plus it is difficult when your teammates upfield are kicking over your head onto your opponents chest.

Any word on AJ? He's not on the March 4 injury update on the AFL site. I know that he's up and running. Is he available?

Is there to be a Reserves game on March 15? I gather it will not be a NEAFL fixture , but is a trial scheduled?
